Not many people would look at this adage in a positive light. Many look upon it with disdain and wish it had never been uttered. Or better yet… that Murphy had actually been an optimist. So, you may be wondering how this law, “Anything that can go wrong will go wrong”… can be viewed as a Law of Attraction (LOA) tool. Easy. This dimension is all about perception, thereby, whatever you perceive to be true is true… or is it? What if you looked at this “law” in a different way? What would be different for you? A lot. Change a few words, and you lift its vibration. Instead of saying “Anything that can go wrong will go wrong”, you can instead say, “Anything that I desire to happen will happen because I choose it.” With the latter, you gain power, for you are focusing your attention on the things you can do to make life show up in a way that feels good. The first thing you must understand is that you have control of your power and your experiences. You can either look at life as if it is happening “to” you, or take control of the helm and steer this ship called Life in the direction of your highest and wildest intentions. It’s all about where you choose to place your focused attention. You can choose to stand in a line that is “appearing” to not move (at least, not as fast as you want), so you move to another line because it is “appeared” to move faster only to find yourself stuck once again. OR You can remain patient, and the line from where you were considering to move… would have picked up its pace… and you now you find yourself back on track instead of frustrated and delayed. It all boils down to your Emotional Reference Point (ERP). Things happen “to” you whenever you are not mindful of how you are feeling. Now, some would argue that statement to not be true. I have my own sexual abuse history, so am I to think none of it would have happened had I had my emotions in check? I was a toddler, so no. What I am referring to is the mindfulness you can practice now that you are an adult. The next time you find yourself having thoughts of “Why is this happening to me?” or “The grass is greener on the other side”, yada yada yada, check your ERP, choose a better feeling, then allow the energy around that experience to shift into something better. So, here’s to the improved version of “Murphy’s Law” working beautifully in your life!
“Anything that I desire to happen will happen because I choose it.”
